Moisture Control
Techniquex® is an expert in moisture migration mitigation. We
have perfected this discipline through over a decade of testing products and processes
to determine what works and what doesn’t. Our process starts with a very careful
inspection of the existing concrete substrate, including a visual inspection for
ASR (alkali silicate reaction) or other contaminants. Next, we prepare the flooring
to generate the necessary floor profile for optimum system penetration. The area
is then treated with dehumidifiers and fans to remove the existing moisture from
the concrete cap and the surrounding environment. Once the space is treated, a multi-layer
system is applied using varying degrees of viscosity to ensure absolute reduction
of the vapor emissions to an acceptable level.
As specialty flooring experts, we realize the liability, business interruption and
costs that are associated with a moisture failure. |

For this reason, we only install
the very best moisture control system available— DiamondStone® Diamond-VRS®. Diamond-VRS
has had over 20 years in development and a track record of over a decade of impeccable
performance. Couple this with an excellent rating backed by empirical data from
the nation’s leading concrete testing laboratory and you have a moisture control
system that you can depend on.
Here’s how it works: The plural-component modified polymer contained in Diamond-VRS
is specifically formulated to treat concrete substrates with higher-than acceptable
vapor emissions. It forms a permanent matrix within the surface that controls moisture
vapor volume and salt migration. This product becomes a permanent part of the concrete,
converting the concrete substrate into a moisture control barrier.
